2009 Campaign – Speeding, Too High a Price to Pay!

The 2009 campaign aims to remind young drivers age 16 to 24 that speeding can cost them dearly, both socially and legally.

A field operation was developed as follows. A “convoy” and a squad of nine youth will criss-cross eleven cities in six regions of Québec (Montréal, Laval, Québec, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay and Sherbrooke) from May 22 to June 20, 2009. The “convoy” is made up of four tow trucks, each carrying a vehicle bearing a message that provides information about the offence committed by the driver.

In each city, the operation will begin in the morning in front of Radio Énergie studios, with the media invited to attend. During the evening, the “convoy” will make its way to a youth-oriented event. Squad members will hand out packs of gum featuring the campaign's visual design to make young people think about their behaviour on the road.
