Driver's Licence
International Driver's Permit
An international driver's permit is a translation into several languages of the vehicle classes which the holder of the permit is authorized to drive. An international driver's permit is not valid unless accompanied by a valid driver's licence issued by the same jurisdiction as the international driver's permit.
This driver's licence is used primarily for verification purposes during police checks. In Québec, international driver's permits are not issued by the SAAQ. To obtain one, contact CAA-Québec

Licence Exchange
New Residents and Holders of a Driver's Licence Issued Outside Québec who would like to exchange their driver's licence must obtain an official translation of the driver's licence.
