When you renew your driver's licence, it is issued for a period of eight years. However, you must pay the fees and insurance contribution every year to keep your driving privilege.
Driving without a valid licence is an offence punishable by a fine of $300 to $600. Other fees may be added to the fine provided under the Highway Safety Code, such as a contribution to the IVAC crime victims compensation program, court fees, etc. Furthermore, you will have to pass the knowledge and road tests if you have not held a valid licence for three years or more and want to obtain a licence again.
Late fees apply in addition to the amount indicated on your payment notice.
Additional fees apply for each cheque rejected by your financial institution for insufficient funds.
Notify us by mail or by phone before the due date shown on your payment notice. Otherwise, fees will apply.

To replace a driver's licence or probationary licence, you can go to any of our service outlets.
Your Health Insurance Card can be renewed at the same time as your driver's licence, at any of our service outlets.
