Class 6

Permit authorizing travel by an oversized vehicle:

1. whose configuration is not prescribed in Schedule 1;
2. whose axle load or total loaded weight, including load and equipment, exceeds the limits for Class 5;
3. where a road sign prohibits travel by such a vehicle;
4. where travel by such a vehicle is prohibited during a thaw period.

This permit is usually a single-trip permit; however, it may be general in the case of repetitive transport of the same nature over a specified route, or if it is issued for travel on all public roadways or on the network of highways covered by Schedule 4.
