Special Road Train Operating Permit

All owners and operators planning on travelling with a combination of road vehicles comprising a tractor or a semi-trailer and either a dolly, a semi-trailer or a trailer must first obtain a special road train operating permit.

This special permit is valid for a maximum period of 9 consecutive months between March 1 and November 30.

Please refer to the schedule of applicable fees related to obtaining a special road train operating permit.

To obtain this permit, you must:

• Read the Special Road Train Operating Permit Regulation;
• Complete the Demande de permis spécial de circulation d'un train routier form;
• Return the form along with a cheque or money order to:
