If one of the following cases applies to you, you are required to request a change of address.

  1. Personal vehicle
    Driver's licence and vehicle registration certificate. Information the SAAQ requires. Note: When you receive your change of address confirmation, the confirmation must be kept with your driver's licence until your licence is renewed or a sticker must be placed on your licence, depending on the type of licence you hold.

  2. Joint-ownership or joint-lease of a vehicle
    A vehicle is registered under the name of more than one person. Information the SAAQ requires.
  3. Vehicle under the name of a business
    A vehicle is registered under the name of a business. Information the SAAQ requires.
  4. Compensation for accident victims

  5. Disabled parking permit

Important

Are you lending or renting your vehicle to someone? Is that person's driver's licence valid?


Before lending or renting your vehicle to someone, take the time to check whether that person has a valid driver's licence. If your vehicle is stopped by a police officer, it can be immediately seized for a period of 30 days if the licence of the person driving the car is not valid.
