Disabled Parking Permit
Period of Validity
A disabled parking permit remains valid for a period of 5 years. The sticker affixed on the permit indicates the period it remains valid.
However, permit holders who have a temporary disability are required to undergo a reassessment before the permit expires. The SAAQ will send out a reassessment form a few months before the expected end of the handicap situation.
The SAAQ will send its decision in writing to permit holders who have returned their form by the due date. Permit holders who have not returned the required form receive a letter indicating that their entitlement to the permit will be cancelled. However, entitlement to the permit can be reactivated if the SAAQ receives a duly completed reassessment form that indicates that the permit holder is still eligible for the program.
