Pilot project on the use of low-speed vehicles

A pilot project on the use of low-speed vehicles (LSVs) has been in effect since July 17, 2008. This project, which was supposed to last three years but has just been extended an additional two years, is in effect throughout Québec.

Note: The agreement entered into by the SAAQ and ZENN Véhicules électriques inc. was cancelled on March 31, 2010, since production of the Zenn vehicle has been discontinued. Since the manufacturer Véhicules Nemo inc. has stopped operating, an agreement was entered into by the SAAQ and Véhicules Volt Age inc., which resumed manufacturing of the Nemo vehicle. Zenn and Nemo vehicles already registered with the pilot project may still be operated in Québec under the same terms and conditions.
