Payment by Pre-authorized Debits

You can pay for your driver's licence or vehicle registration by pre-authorized debits, under certain conditions.

However, you cannot pay by pre-authorized debits if the SAAQ requires payment in cash or by certified cheque from you.

You have two options if you want to apply for payment by pre-authorized debits:

• By mail
  • Complete the section entitled “The Pre-Authorized Debit Payment Plan” on the back of your payment notice;
  • Return your payment notice with a voided cheque sample in your name.
• At a service outlet
  • Go to one of the SAAQ's service outlets with the duly completed documents. An additional administrative fee will be charged.
