Changes to Your File
You must notify the SAAQ of the following:
- A change of address;
- A vehicle that has been placed in storage, discarded, sold, or a vehicle registered outside Québec;
- A change of information regarding vehicle registration.
You can notify the SAAQ in advance of a change of address, of a vehicle placed in storage or of vehicle discarding.
Notification of a change of address cannot be accepted over the telephone where a vehicle is under joint ownership or owned by a company.

Overdue payment
If you submit payment after the due date indicated on your vehicle registration payment notice, a late fee will be charged in addition to the amount owing on the notice.
If your vehicle is no longer in use
If you are no longer using your vehicle(s) and have failed to notify the SAAQ before the payment due date indicated on your vehicle registration payment notice, you will be required to pay a fee, as well as a portion of the vehicle registration fees owed.
