How to Pay Registration Fees

There Are Six Ways You Can Pay Registration Fees

• through a financial institution
• by online payment
• by pre-authorized debits
• at an SAAQ service outlets
• by mail
• by telephone

Late Payment

Late fees apply in addition to the amount owing on your payment notice.

NSF Cheque

The SAAQ charges an additional fee for a cheque that is refused by your financial institution.

Vehicle Registration Renewal Period

Vehicle registration renewal occurs every year during the same period. The renewal period begins a few months before the registration renewal month, which is determined on the basis of the owner's name or the type of vehicle.

If you have unpaid fines, the SAAQ can refuse to renew your registration if outstanding fines have not been paid in full.

Do you have a farmer's card? You are entitled to reduced fees.
