Selling a Vehicle

Are you selling your vehicle?
Go to one of the SAAQ's service outlets, along with the buyer of your vehicle. You must have proof of identification, preferably your driver's licence and the registration certificate for the vehicle you are selling.

Write down your vehicle's odometer reading. This information is required for the transfer of property.

Important!
If you have been issued a fine for violation of the Highway Safety Code or a municipal traffic or parking bylaw. You must pay the fine as soon as possible, otherwise you will be unable to sell a vehicle registered in your name because the buyer will be unable to register the vehicle and the sale will not be valid.
