Who can use this online service?

Anyone who wants to buy or sell a vehicle.

Why should you check if a vehicle can be registered?

Because a person with unpaid fines is not allowed to buy or sell a vehicle, and a person who is under penalty due to alcohol-impaired driving is not allowed to buy a vehicle.

Confidentiality...

For privacy protection, the result of the request for information does not include any names, addresses or personal information about the holder of the driver's licence.

How much does the service cost?

$1.60 per consultation. The fees are charged to your credit card.

Note: You can also check if a vehicle can be registered by calling 1 900 565-1212. The $1.60 fee is added to your telephone bill.

Before beginning:

• check the configuration of your computer;
• have on hand:
  • the driver's licence number you would like to check;
  • your credit card (VISA or Master Card).
