Appointment for a Driving Test

Passenger Vehicle: Class 5

When can you use this online service?

• Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.

Note: Any operation completed after 11:00 p.m. will not be recorded.

You must...

• Be at least 16 years of age;
• Have parental consent (PDF - 69 Kb) if you are a minor;
• Have the identity documents and other documents specified in your appointment confirmation.

Duration of the tests

• Knowledge: 1 hour
• Road: 30 minutes

Fees

Costs for obtaining a licence for various classes of driver's licence.

Note: Licence fee installment payments can only be made from your personal bank account and not that of another person.

To prepare for the test

The SAAQ recommends studying:

• Driver's Handbook;
• Driving a Passenger Vehicle;
• Road Access Binder (available in recognized driving schools)
• Prospective Passenger Vehicle Driver (PDF - 443 Ko);
• Check your knowledge online on driving a passenger vehicle or a motorcycle.

To prepare for tests to obtain a new licence or exchange your driver's licence, you can purchase Road Access Binder at recognized driving schools. The list of schools is available on the Association québécoise du transport et des routes (AQTR)'s Web site.
