When can you use this online service?

• Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.

Note: Any operation completed after 11:00 p.m. will not be recorded.

Who is this online service for?

For anyone who wishes to make an appointment for a knowledge test to obtain a taxi driver's permit.

For the city of Montréal, you must schedule an appointment by calling the Bureau du taxi et du remorquage de la Ville de Montréal at 514 280-6600.

Note: You must first hold a taxi driver's (Class 4C) licence to obtain a taxi driver's permit.

You must...

• Hold a probationary licence or a Class 4C driver's licence;
• Understand, speak and read French;
• Have the identity documents and other documents specified in you appointment confirmation.

Duration of the test and fees

Knowledge:

• Duration: 1 hour
• Fees: $26.75 for the test and $26.75 for the taxi driver's permit
